This months AFARCC Club Meeting will be held on Tuesday the 14th of September, at the Morley Ale House, as shown on the map below.

The official start time for the meeting is 7:00pm, but feel free to turn up earlier (or later) than that, as these meetings are primarily social events and the administrative side of the night will be taken care of once we're happy that everyone that is coming is present.
Also, this may well be the last indoor AFARCC meeting for a few months, as with the warmer weather coming along, we'll start looking at outdoor venues for more BBQ's in the parks around Perth. With this in mind, we'd suggest all members keep an eye out for suitable venues in their travels and let the committee know if they find somewhere that fits the bill.

AFARCC Club Meeting, July 2010
The first All Fours and Rotaries Car Club monthly meeting of the new financial year will be held at the Captain Stirling Hotel, on Stirling Highway in Nedlands on Tuesday the 13th of July.
As has become the norm with recent club meetings, the published start time is a little earlier than it has traditionally been, at 6:30pm, with the intention that club members will start gathering at the venue at 6:30pm and are free to socialise while we pick out somewhere within the venue where we're able to hold the actual meeting. So, if you can't make it to the Captain Stirling by 6:30pm, don't let that stop you coming to the AFARCC July Club Meeting, as we'll be there for some time. The Captain Stirling also serves meals, and we encourage members to have dinner at the venue of the club meetings.

AFARCC'n AGM - Tonight!
As all good AFARCC members should know, the second Tuesday of the month is always the club meeting, all that remains to be announced is the location. This month, there's also an added reason to attend the club meeting as it's time for the clubs Annual General Meeting.
At this meeting, nominations will be called for all the positions on the committee and those positions will be declared vacant while we elect a new club committee. By the end of the night, a new committee will be running the club.

May Club Meeting
The All Fours and Rotaries Car Club's May Monthly Meeting will be held at the All Night Pizza (and Kebab) Cafe in Vic Park on Tuesday, May 11th. We'll be there from 7pm onwards, and will be having an informal meeting over dinner. If you need more information about the venue, or how to get there, then keep on reading. The All Night Pizza Cafe is a Vic Park fast food outlet that is open 24 hours a day and serves up good quality pizzas, kebabs and burgers. They're popular with uni students in part because they'll often be showing live soccer on the big screen in their dining area. Check out the Google map below to work out how to get there.

AFARCC Club Meeting, April 2010
The announcement of this months meeting location is even later than usual, in part due to the change of weather meaning that we decided not to go with an outdoor venue at all this time around.

The venue we chose is a fairly well known Pizza restaurant in Victoria Park, Brando's Pizza at 252 Albany Highway. They claim to have been making "the best Pizza in town since 1993", I guess we'll find out tonight if that's true. The meeting starts at 7pm, and as always, that time is a little flexible as no doubt some of us will turn up earlier and plenty of us will still be standing around in the carpark talking cars after we're supposed to have started the meeting.

AFARCC Club Meeting, March 2010
This month, the AFARCC club meeting is revisiting another location from earlier in the year, Heathcote Reserve. Since we started holding our monthly meetings away from our old clubrooms, we've tried a few different things, and over summer we decided that as long as the weather stayed good, we'd run some outdoor meetings, provided we could find venues that met a few basic requirements. These requirements were fairly simple, some basic lighting, adequate parking and some barbecue facilities were the most essential qualifications. It turns out that in a city the size of Perth, it's still not that easy to find parks that meet these basic requirements. A lot of councils either won't install lights near their barbecue facilities, or won't turn them on for fear that people may actually turn up and use the barbecues after dark.
One of the best parks we found while we were looking around, was Heathcote Reserve in Applecross, this park not only has good lighting, plentiful barbecue facilities and seating, but an awesome view and one of the best playgrounds for the kiddies (both big and small) around. For these reasons, we're planning on having another club meeting there this month, and we'll definitely be back next summer.
The meeting starts at 7pm, and as always, it's on the second Tuesday of the month, which is the 9th of March. As is the case with most AFARCC meetings, the 7pm start time is a guide only, and many of us will be there earlier than that. We'll be putting on a sausage sizzle for our members, and drinks will be available for a gold coin donation.
Check out the thread over on the club forum for more information.
